Short Stories in Beneath Ceaseless Skies

Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Spring 2012

I figured, since I’m focusing on writing short stories, that I should share some of the places that publish them for anyone interested. This is one of the first online magazines I’ve come across.

Beneath Ceaseless Skies is an magazine that publishes “literary adventure fantasy”. They’ve got a lot of good stories on there. Here’s a few examples for stories I’d recommend, though there are plenty other good ones:

Scry, by Anne Ivy.

The Castle that Jack Built, by Emily Gilman.

The Traitor Baru Cormorant, Her Field-General, and Their Wounds, by Seth Dickinson.

The first is a kind of scientific fantasy dealing with a woman who’s been betrayed, the second is a fairy tale-esque story about fixing mistakes, and the third is sort of an anti-heroic perspective on changing the world.
